Be Prepared to Answer

A new set of lessons on Bible story evangelism based on chapters from the popular "Prepared to Answer" books by Dr. Mark Paustian.

Teen Topical Bible Studies (8th grade and Up)

Monday Nights at 7:00pm Beginning September 9th (10 Sessions )

This course covers the fundamental teachings of the Bible.  This is a refresher course for our members and a great introduction to the Bible or those who would like to learn more or may be looking for a church home.  This course serves as our adult membership class.  There is no cost or obligation to join.  To register, contact the church office at 262-334-7881.

Living by the Wisdom of Christ

Wednesday Mornings at 9:00am Led by Pastor Richard E. Lauersdor Beginning November 13

Wednesday Morning Bible Class is a study of the book of Proverbs with the theme "Living by the Wisdom of Christ."  What is a proverb?  Who wrote this book?  Why can we call this book of the Old Testament Sermon on the Mount?  Why can we describe Christ as "the ultimate wisdom of God"?  Join 140 who meet each Wednesday at 9:00am.


Time Out for Moms - Ephesians - Included in Christ

Friday Mornings at 8:00am Led by Marilyn Sievert in The Fireside Room Beginning September 20th

All moms are invited to this class.  Child care is free, but please REGISTER for planning purposes.  Please feel free to join at any time.

Sunday Mornings at 9:15am Beginning September 8th 

All children through 7th grade are invited to come have fun with us learning about Jesus and His love through Bible stories, crafts, games, songs, and fun activities.  Bringing your children to worship and Sunday School is a great way to set them on the right path, so they stay closely connected to Jesus all the days of their lives.  REGISTER  

Public School Catechism Class (7th and 8th Graders)

Wednesday Nights from 6:30pm to 8:00pm Led by John Paustian Beginning September 4th

Pastor Paustian will lead the class the first half of the year; Pastor Hein, the second.  Since spiritual growth is our goal, regular attendance at worship and Sunday School is expected.  Call Pastor Hein at 262-334-7881 to set up an appointment to meet personally about the goals of catechism instruction and to register your child.

Pioneers (1st to 8th Graders)

2nd and 4th Monday Nights of the Month from 6:00pm to 7:30pm Beginning September 9th

Welcoming all 1st to 8th grade!  You do not need to be a member of Good Shepherd or go to Good Shepherd School to join Pioneers.  It is open to all children.  The cost for the year is $25/child.  We have a two-night fall camping event for both boys and girls.  Regular meetings include cooking, crafts, games, and Christian fellowship with other children.

Little Lambs Childcare Center

Child Care for Ages Newborn to 12 years Old

A ministry of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, offering childcare for newborns and up in a safe and loving Christian environment.  Before and after school care and a summer program are also available.  Call 262-338-1764 for a tour or to learn more.  Little Lambs is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year of sharing Christ's love with his precious lambs.

Parenting Presentations

THE Talk - Part 1

Saturday, October 19th from 10:30am to 12:00pm 

There are two parenting presentations to help parents talk with their children about God's gift of sexuality in a positive way, guided by the truths of the Bible.  Sarah Reik will lead our first presentation, "The Talk," Saturday, October 19th from 10:30am to noon in the Fellowship Hall.  We will offer free childcare for children in the parent's room or the gym.  Then at noon, the children are welcome to join the parents for a sub sandwich lunch at noon.  REGISTER 

THE Talk - Part 2

Saturday, November 9th from 10:30am to 12:00pm 

The follow up presentation will be co-hosted by Time Out for Moms on Saturday, November 9th from 10:30am to 12:00pm, led by various Good Shepherd teachers.  This topic covers more than just talking to your children about sex.  It includes establishing a positive identity in Christ, answering questions about the LGBT movement, promoting a Christian model for marriage and family, and offering written materials to share with your children.  


Steering into the Skid - Dementia Presentation

Saturday, November 13th from 1:00pm to 6:00pm 

Good Shepherd is pleased to host the one-act play - "Steering into the Skid".  This play addresses the isolation and fear associated with dementia.  In twelve short scenes, you will meet Tim and Amanda.  All scenes take place in the couple's SUV, where you will come to know this loving couple and bear witness to the early progression of dementia.  Snacks, performance and facilitated discussion to follow.  The community is invited.  Sign up in the narthex, or RSVP to Tammy at 262-335-4497 by Wednesday, November 6 for planning purposes.  This presentation is sponsored by the Dementia Friendly Coalition. 

Christmas for Kids (Potty Trained through 4th Grade)

Saturday, December 7th from 9:00am to 11:45am

Join us for Christmas for Kids!  The children will learn the joyous meaning of Christmas at different stations for singing, crafts, video, Bible story, cookie decorating, and fun.  If you would like to help, fill out a volunteer form at church or contact Beth Bartlelt or Pastor Hein.  All adult volunteers are asked to attend the yearly training class.  Registration forms are available at church.  You may also register online.  Invite your friends and neighbors to attend as well.  If you wish to support this outreach program financially, please use a yellow "Kid's Program" envelope in the church narthex.  Gifts are needed to cover costs for crafts, advertising, and gifts for the children.
