"Lord, Teach Me to Pray with Confidence!"
Sundays at 9:15am Led by Pastor Hein in the Commons Area
Looking to improve your prayer life? Wondering what to pray for, or if your prayers make a difference? Come and grow in your confidence in the power of prayer and the certainty of God's promises.
Open My Eyes, Lord!
Sundays at 9:15am Led by John Paustian in the Commons Area (elevator available for use)
This study of familiar Bible stories and favorite passages will begin with the prayer of the Psalmist: Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your Word. Psalm 119:18 (NIV)
We will approach God's Word with the humble confession that we can miss the meaning and value of what God says. We will also seek to honor God and study his Word expectantly in the confidence that there are more wonderful things there, truths he will help us discover.
The class will be asked to share their favorite stories and passages in small groups. Some may wish to tell the story of how a passage became their favorite. Then the group will study a favorite together, using suggested strategies, some familiar and some new. For example, "What do I see if I put myself in the place of someone in this story?" A soldier putting on his full armor. A disciple of John sent to Jesus to ask if their teacher had gotten it wrong about Jesus. A tax collector hearing the story of the Lost Son. Led by Pastor John Paustian in the fellowship hall.

Mom's Bible Study - Habukkuk
Friday Mornings, Beginning February 12 at 8:00am Led by Marilyn Sievert in The Fellowship Hall
Fridays, 8-9am, in the Fellowship Hall and continuing on Fridays when school is in session. New procedures will be in place, but we have a great topic and will be reconnecting with Jesus and the world he came to seek and save. Child care will be provided in the Fireside Room by moms, not grammas, through a child care exchange. We will be studying the little known book of the Bible, Habukkuk: Remembering God's Faithfulness When He seems Silent. Though only 3 chapters long, the words are packed with wisdom and hope for God's people. Habakkuk 1:5 "Look at the nations and watch - and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told." A book will be provided. Looking forward to seeing you at class! Taught by Marilyn Sievert.
