a new beginning...

Everything seems new at the beginning of another school year. The children sport new shoes, backpacks, clothes, pens, pencils, crayons, and a host of other supplies. Most kids look forward to a new teacher and a new room with a new desk. It's all very exciting as we look forward to new things, people and experiences.

This past weekend my husband and I had the privilege of taking care of our grandchildren for a couple of days. Being with them is a reminder that we are getting older and why kids are born to young people!

What can be more precious that the relationship with our children? Today at my workplace a young father returned after the birth of his first child, a daughter. He was heartbroken that he had to leave her mother and her. At first glance of a new baby, parents immediately fall in love with the miracle of a new life. My friend was no exception. We were created for relationships.
